Paris is one of the most well known cities and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the entire world. The central part of Paris has a population of nearly two and a quarter million people but if you move into the suburbs this number rises to around ten million. The number of people that live in Paris means it is a well traveled city.
The international capital of fashion and art resides in Paris so when something new happens in the fashion industry it is safe to assume that it all started in Paris. Paris has also always been well known for its contributions to the world of art with many famous artists spending much of their lives living in the city.
If you are planning a trip to Paris there are three landmarks that you must save time for but there are of course many more attractions than just those three, but these are the big ones. The three I refer to are The Arch de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Theatre which cannot be missed even if they each have many hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
If you are a museum lover then you could spend days wandering around the tens of thousands of exhibits in the Louvre just like hundreds of other tourists. The reason for this is simple; the Louvre is the home to some of the greatest works of art of all time including the Mona Lisa; but there is much more to see that just this world famous painting.
Having a relatively mild climate means you can visit Paris at anytime of the year and not have to worry too much about extreme weather. In the winter months for example, temperatures hover around the 40 degree Fahrenheit area rising to an average of 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer so travel is never an arduous affair.
Paris has two good sized airports that handle the majority of flights in and out of the city; there is Orly Airport which gets a bit of traffic, but not nearly as much as the Roissy-en-France which is one of the busiest in all of Europe. The great benefit of using Roissy-en-France is that has connections to every major international airport around the world.
You can visit Paris at anytime if the year and never be disappointed whether you are hoping to visit all the major attractions or just to relax. It would be hard to visit Europe at any time without spending a few days in Paris which is a city that has something for every imaginable taste.

If you plan on spending some of your traveler’s checks in Paris, then a trip down the Champs Elysees is an essential part of a trip; it’s where you will find all the top class hotels, shops and restaurants. This is an ‘up-market’ area that attracts thousands of tourists each day; it is also where most of the five star hotels are situated but thankfully hotels tend to be cheaper once you move away from the city center.
This city is also the home to the renowned Louvre Museum; it holds in excess of 300,000 pieces of art, which cannot possibly be seen in a single visit. Despite the very busy nature of Paris, there are only just over two million people that live in the central parts of the city climbing to around ten million if you include the suburbs as well. Although there is a great deal to see in Paris, there are three main places that must be visited on a trip and no matter how many times you return you will always pay a visit to these. However, when it’s a museum you want to visit, it has to be the Louvre which happens to be one of the most popular and largest in the world. Part of the reason for this is because the Louvre is the home to the world famous Mona Lisa painting but this should not be the only reason to visit this beautiful museum.
Having a relatively mild climate means you can visit Paris at anytime of the year and not have to worry too much about extreme weather. Winters are quite mild by some European city standards, never falling much below the late 30 degrees Fahrenheit to summer temperatures that are pleasant at an average of 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Of the two airports that service Paris, it is Roissy-en-France that is the largest and is as busy as any of the top international airports anywhere in the world.
