Passengers looking to travel to Dallas Fort Worth in the United States now have a new route available to them from Europe, as Friday sees the launch of a direct flight with American Airlines from Dallas to Madrid.

This added flight between the continents should see improved competition and in a benefit to passengers cheaper flight tickets should become available.

American Airlines have entered into a partnership with Spanish airline Iberia and it feels this partnership will offer a better experience for passengers both in the air and at Madrid Airport.

Both airlines are part of the oneworld alliance meaning easy travel beyond Madrid can now be realised for American Airlines passengers. For example, Dallas Fort Worth passengers using this American Airlines route into Madrid have easy access to London Heathrow via British Airways, Amsterdam via KLM, Paris via Air France and, Frankfurt via Lufthansa. All these airlines are members of the oneworld alliance.

In a recent press conference a spokesperson from American Airlines stated,

“For our business and leisure travellers, this new service not only means non-stop service to one of Europe’s key cultural centres, it also means more connections to more locations across Europe, Africa and India,” D/FW Airport. “As our international travel market grows, we will create new opportunities for added flight options and even more air travel for our passengers.”
