Recession hit Brits are showing their love of foreign travel buy snapping up thousands of last minute deals and jetting off for some Easter sunshine.
Tuesday 9th April is set to be the busiest day of the year so far for Heathrow Airport, with passenger numbers expected to peak at 200,000.
For those wishing to travel to New York, Virgin Atlantic has a cracking return deal from just £249 via www.terminila.co.uk.
Easyjet are currently offering a return flight to Amsterdam for £160 during the Easter weekend and for those looking to fly a little further afield Budapest can be reached with WizzAir for £190 return.
According to the British Airports Authority passenger numbers are actually up on last year, despite the credit crunch. It seems passengers are becoming more discerning about their destination but are not willing to sacrifice their Easter break abroad.
The weak pound is having an effect on the board basis selected by customers. Travel Agents are seeing a surge in bookings for All-Inclusive deals, and private properties are also proving popular as landlords and owners look to fill them at a lower cost than in previous years.
