Some may see it as a gamble, but Ryanair believe they are on to a winner, being the first European carrier to allow passengers to use their mobile phones during their flight. In a recent poll, conducted by the Sunday Times, 90% of passengers were against the introduction of in-flight mobile calls.
However, Ryanair see this as a valuable income stream, which will further allow them to discount flight tickets. Calls will cost between £1.50-£3.00 per minute and to send and receive text messages passengers will be charged £0.40p
Ryanair are Europe’s largest budget carrier, offering cheap flights to numerous destinations across the continent.

You may recall reading that after a fall out with the Fuerteventura Tourist Board Ryanair have taken the decision to withdraw all flights to the island. The gap left by Ryanair looks to have been quickly filled by the relative newcomer Kiss Flights (www.kissflights.com), to the delight of those searching for a cheap flight to the country.
Kiss Flights already offer cheap flights into the neighbouring islands of Lanzarote and Tenerife and are rapidly increasing the destinations available.
Operating from 3 UK airports, London Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol Kiss Flights also fly to destinations across Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Cyprus, in addition to the Canary Islands.
Kiss Flights operate with either Viking or Pegasus Airlines. Peace of mind is offered to customers making a booking with Kiss Flights, as they are fully ABTA bonded.

Passengers looking for cheap flights out of Gatwick may find they benefit from the price war which has erupted between Aer Lingus and EasyJet.
EasyJet appears to have fired the first shot, directly competing with the Irish national carrier, by opening up new, daily routes to Munich, Vienna and Zurich.
To counter-attack this, Aer Lingus are offering a wide range of bargain flights from just £10 (inclusive of taxes and charges) one-way flights for the forthcoming summer period to destinations such as Knock, Munich, Nice and Vienna. £30 one-way flights are available with Aer Lingus to Faro and Malaga.
