Budget carrier Norwegian has moved quickly to capture the gap in the market left by the collapse of Sterling Airlines. Norwegian has opened up a base at Copenhagen’s Kastrup International Airport and is already offering new low cost flights to Aalborg, Alicante, Malaga, Nice and Stockholm. It plans to add further connections to Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Krakow, Pisa, Prague and Rome in the near future. As the airline is a budget carrier the flights look set to be superb value for money.
Norwegian have not been the only budget carrier to quickly mop up the spills left by Sterling. EasyJet will launch cheap flights from London Gatwick to Copenhagen on 15th January ‘09. This is in addition to its existing 3 flights per week to the Danish Capital from London Stanstead.
