Austrian Airlines to Expand Medium Haul “Premium” Service

Austrian Airlines has announced plans to expand its medium haul “Premium” service to include the Jordanian capital of Amman. The flight will operate four times per week and will be launched in May 2009.

The Airbus A320 aircraft will be fitted with a Business Class cabin for increased passenger comfort.

The new route provides an additional service in to the Middle East region, where the airline already operates “Premium” flights into Dubai, Damascus, Astana, Tehran, Cairo, Erbil, Riyadh and Jeddah.

The route introduction is sure to please business travellers, travelling to and from the Middle East.

Budget carrier Air Asia X has announced plans to launch the highly anticipated London – Kuala Lumpur service in March 2009. The carrier, famous for low cost flights in Asia, will offer a daily service between the two capital cities.

An Air Canada Airbus A330-300 has been leased and will operate the route, which will fly into London’s Stanstead Airport.

Air Asia began operating long haul flights as Air Asia X in 2007, initially serving the Australian Gold Coast. Rapid expansion has followed, with flights from Kuala Lumpur into other Australian cities, plus Hangzhou in China.

The Kuala Lumpur to London Stanstead daily,budget flight will commence from the 11th March 2009.
