New Fixed Base Operation

ExecuJet Aviation Group of Switzerland and Hawker Pacific of Australia have been appointed to run a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at Subang’s Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Malaysia. The joint venture called Skypak FBO Malaysia will offer full handling facilities plus VIP lounge and fuel provision. Other plans call for each joint venture partner to independently run MRO hangers specialising in their respective products and services.

The National Aviation Company Of India Limited (NACIL), an organisation set up to manage the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines has planned an agressive move to fight off competing private carriers within India. It intends to spend $1.2 billion on acquiring more aircraft. The long term aim being to have a fleet of 112 with 21 to be added this year alone from both Boeing and Airbus.

First MA60 Delivered

The AVIC 1 Xian Aircraft Industry Company has delivered the first MA60 to the Okair Aviation Corporation marking the first operation of the type in China. So far the manufacturing company has received 136 orders for the type.
