Orlando Travel
Going to Orlando on holiday can be an exciting experience and if you have managed to get a cheap airfare from Teletext Flights it would make it so much more enjoyable with the extra money in your pocket. As an Orlando vacation devotee, I can recommend all of the theme parks, but did you know the area is brimming with other excellent visitor attractions without a roller coaster in sight. In fact, Orlando has such a diversity of attractions that many travel books have been written just about this one location alone. Whilst a vacation here has been popular for many years now, the reason to visit continues to grow as the number of facilities and attractions increases.
If you enjoy shopping then you will love Orlando; it has plenty of malls and stores like Outdoor World which is so large it contains a 17,000 gallon aquarium and you could spend all day there. An Orlando vacation has far more to offer than this short article can possibly hope to highlight so only a few of the more unusual attractions and places to see are brought to your attention. If you are an animal lover then you must visit the Central Florida Zoological Park in Sanford which was opened to the public in 1975 and houses a collection of over 400 hundred animals. The Central Florida Zoological Park and Botanical Gardens is dedicated to preserving the beauty and wonder of animals including their habitats.
It is also possible to see a large collection of the works of Louis Tiffany at the Museum of American Art over in Winter Park. This collection comprises Tiffany art glass, clayware and ornaments plus the chapel interior designed for the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. No adult, despite any thoughts to the opposite, could go to Orlando and find nothing of interest as the range of attractions for both the young and old is huge. The choice of evening entertainment for vacations in Orlando is as diverse as the range of activities available during daylight hours with themed shows to Disney’s Pleasure Island or City walk at Universal.
The Orlando Science Center is another of the major attractions and its four-story center is the biggest of its kind in the Southeast; offering 10 exhibit halls that allow visitors everything from the Florida swamplands to the dry plains of Mars. The International Trolley and Train Museum has fourteen trains running simultaneously in mountains, wilderness and urban areas; including three waterfalls that use 12,000 gallons of water per hour. On International Drive there is the Mercado Center which is the home to the wonderfully moving, sad and at times eerie Titanic exhibition which actually displays a number of original items from the great ship.
For those who prefer a little peace and relaxation they can visit the beautiful lake Eola Park where there are forty three acres of land to roam freely; it includes a boating lake. Of course how could anyone possibly visit Orlando without a visit to at least one theme park; and for those of you who are unsure Disney has four; not including the water parks; Universal has its own versions including Seaworld. To make the most of your Orlando vacation try to visit outside of traditional holiday periods if you want to avoid the crowds.

Caribbean Travel
Often considered the vacation of choice for a certain age group, the demand for Caribbean cruises is increasing; with package prices now more affordable (especially with lower price airfares from Teletext Flights) there has never been a better time to go. There is fantastic scenery, beautiful beaches, and exotic Caribbean island locations; on the cruise liner itself you will have entertainment and a full program of activities at anytime of the day or night. There is a great deal of flexibility involved on the part of the liner companies and they can arrange short taster trips or a full fourteen days or more vacations.
Vacations like this are about enjoyment and it what these companies do best irrespective of weather or environment, it is your choice; enjoy the on board entertainment or that at each destination. Never worry that there will not be enough to keep you occupied as cruise liners are past masters at ensuring their travelers have everything they need. It is always a pleasant use of your time to see what vacations on ships are available and see what choice of packages there are so why not start at the local travel operator for some advice.
As there are so many islands over quit a large area, Caribbean cruises arrange for only certain ones like Jamaica, Antigua, Bermuda or Bahamas; these islands will get a visit for each type of package that has been arranged so your job is to find one that matches the islands you want to visit. Many cruise vacations cater more for adults and the activities include discos, late night entertainment, casinos and shows with daytime events to challenge those with an excess of energy. Some Caribbean cruise liner companies actually produce virtual tours and other information on DVD’s which can be collected from your travel agent or ordered online.
One important thing to remember is the type of clothes you pack for your trip as you will have the opportunity to wear all you normal holiday clothes plus those for dressing up in the evening. Women may want to take two or three evening dresses and men will need a tuxedo, they will probably get to wear it for a number of evenings. A common mistake is for families to believe that cruise vacations aren’t very child friendly which couldn’t be further from the truth as most have more activities for children than they do for adults.
In actual fact there is specially trained staff to take care of children that can provide entertainment activities throughout the entire day and during the voyage. But Caribbean cruises can be for adults to and there are those that do not have children on board. Other cruise liner packages are available and have been created for special occasions like weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries. If you let the staff on your Caribbean cruise do their job, all you will have to do is enjoy the vacation, after all isn’t that what it’s all about.

Business Travel
Clients like to meet their suppliers in person so an increase in travel has been the result; this is claimed to have been caused as a direct result of the Internet. Stress is the biggest problem with business travel because it’s generally not as glamorous as most people perceive it to be. With that in mind, this business travel tips article highlights some useful information that could make your business journeys more pleasurable.
One thing that will probably happen at some stage is your luggage will go missing which can be a real problem for anyone traveling but more so if you are on business. So, wherever possible, pack as much as you can into your carry on luggage. Although it means taking more on the plane it does mean that whatever might happen you will be prepared for your meeting.
Regular travelers know that the main business travel tip when packing is to keep things simple by only including exactly what you need for the journey and that way you won’t go far wrong if luggage goes missing. In order to accomplish this, make do with a pair of casual shoes and a pair of business shoes only, and be sure to only bring enough work clothes to last you through the trip. With the clothing taken care of the only items left to pack are your toilet bag plus any additional documentation that would be useful but not necessary for the meeting.
A clever business travel tip, to reduce the size of bag you require, is too roll your clothes up instead of folding them; apart for taking up less space they are not so creased when they are unpacked. If you carry dark clothing with you it can help if anything is spilt on them as it is harder to see stains on dark clothes. The ideal situation is where you can hop off the plane, quickly comb your hair, and make use of hygiene wipes to freshen up (another popular travelers trick) and then meet a client right away.
Cell phones and other related equipment normally have good battery life but don’t forget to take a charger if you are going to be somewhere for more than a few days. Many business travelers now use the traveling time to do as much work as possible which then allows them some personal time to themselves after work which in turn reduces stress. These tips make sure that no matter what happens when you travel on business you will be able to continue with your plans and will not be left wondering what to do next. Business trips do not have to be boring and stressful if you apply the business travel tips in this article as they will allow you the opportunity to enjoy your free time even more.

New York Travel
I would recommend staying at least seven days in New York City if you really want to enjoy what it has to offer the tourist. Probably one of the first stops will be the Empire State Building and whilst it may be on every tourists list, that doesn’t mean it is not worth it, especially the view from the top. Superior views are available from another famous landmark, the Rockefeller Centre when the weather is good. Another famous landmark, the Statue of Liberty cannot be seen properly unless it is from the river; however delays can be long here so if you are on a tight schedule, stop off at Ellis Island and view the statue from there.
The Staten Island ferry can still be traveled on without cost and can offer excellent photo opportunities of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty; this is also a great place to spend some time enjoying the talents of local (almost professional) street entertainers. However, no seven day trip to New York would be complete now without a visit to where the World Trade Center Towers once stood not that long ago. There is certainly a strange atmosphere to the whole place. For those who love to shop there is of course the famous Tiffany’s and Broadway plus some fantastic old discount warehouses, worth a look down on the Lower East Side.
Bloomingdales is another famous store (for the wealthy) to look around but it is Maceys, who will give 11 percent discount on production of a tourist card where most people will head for. At the time of writing the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum was closed for refurbishment but should be open by the fall of 2008; well worth looking in if you are around at that time of the grand re-opening. The highlight of this museum is the USS Intrepid, a World War Two aircraft carrier which houses the likes of the supersonic plane Concorde, not to mention a number of submarines. Although it is actually free to enter, the NY City Police Museum is funded by donations from visitors (five dollars is the recommended amount); especially for those people in love with the crime side of New York City!
Another museum is the Lower East Side Tenement Museum which focuses on the appalling conditions experienced by the immigrants back in 1864. On Central Park is the fascinating Museum of the City of New York with millions of objects for researchers but for tourists, an ever changing program of exhibitions showing the past, present and future of the Big Apple. Once again, admission to this wonderfully grand building is free but a donation of at least nine dollars is expected. As I am sure you can imagine if you have been on a trip to any major capital city, there is far more to see and do than a short stay or even a seven day trip to New York can accomplish.
Have a look at Teletext Holidays for your next trip to the USA for a great deal and fabulous service.

Paris Travel
One of the favourite city destinations in Western Europe noted for its romantic appeal is Paris; sitting astride either side of the river Seine it is one of the world’s most popular cities. For most people visiting Paris, a short stay is often the way they first see the city; the desire to stay longer is strong as there is so much to see and do. For short breaks have a look at picking up a cut price holiday at Teletext flights.
It is renowned for its wonderful gothic inspired buildings and street markets; it has much to offer visitors who adore culture, even if it is only for a long weekend. Visitors to Paris as well as its citizens can travel around Paris easily; there is a superb underground rail system called the Metro which is efficient and easy to understand.
It wouldn’t be possible to visit this city without a trip to the top of the famous steel structure known as the Eiffel Tower; it provides stunning views from the top and is visible throughout most of the city. Illuminated in the evening, it is one of the most beautiful sights in the entire city; taking a tour at the same time will teach you much more about this remarkable structure.
A walk along the Champs Elysees is essential when you visit Paris; with shops, cafes, and restaurants littered along the wide pavements, it is a ‘must see’ for every visitor. This avenue may be select but it attracts large numbers of visitors daily; most of the five star hotels are located here but more affordable hotels can be found further out.
A trip to Paris would not be complete without a visit to the Louvre museum; it holds in excess of 300,000 pieces of art, which cannot possibly be seen in a single visit. If you are an art lover then you could spend your whole short stay in Paris inside; some of the most important art collections in the world are here including Leonardo da Vinci’s world famous Mona Lisa. Over the years, Paris has been home to many of the world’s famous artists; many of whom left large collections of their paintings here like Monet and Picasso.
Paris is also the home of the equally famous Arc de Triomphe which Napoleon had constructed in the early part of the 19th century; the names of his generals engraved upon it to honor them and his troops. Many people do not know that an observatory was included in the design which affords great views of the surrounding area; it can be found in Charles de Gaulle Place at the intersection of twelve avenues including the Champs Elysees.
Obviously, these are not the only places to visit; and whilst there are many more worthy examples, those listed here should not be missed. A Paris short stay vacation will probably be best suited as just a taster of the city; what you aren’t able to this time will have to wait for another occasion.
