Very few cities in Europe can compete with Paris as a romantic destination; it has the ability to please everyone and is often referred to as The City of Lights. Renowned for its modern art and breathtaking scenery a short stay in Paris is the ideal location for a romantic weekend break; for most visitors, this is just enough time to see what it has to offer.

Paris can be very expensive and so what better way to keep your money in your pocket until you get there with a budget flight. The last thing you want to be doing is paying a ridiculous amount out on getting to your destination. You want to enjoy yourself when you get there and not be worrying about the cost of everything. Ryanair cheap flights help to keep the costs down so you have more money for your romantic holiday with your partner.

Paris is also equally well known for its gothic architecture and markets; the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre must not go unmentioned. Like most European cities, Paris is easy to get around; the Metro underground train network will probably be the main method as it runs regularly and reaches every part of the city.

No visit would be complete without a trip to the top of the almost 1,000 feet tall Eiffel tower; it’s visible throughout most of the city but the views from the top of this huge steel structure are even more impressive. Illuminated in the evening, it is one of the most beautiful sights in the entire city; guided tours add to the thrill as you get to peek into history on how it was constructed.

A trip down the Champs Elysees is encouraged when you visit Paris as this is the city’s most famous street; it will present you with many famous designer shops and good restaurants. This avenue is well worth a visit to see how the wealthy live; the average tourist may find the accommodation expensive but more modest hotels can be found away from this area.

The world famous Louvre museum is in this city; it houses over three hundred thousand exhibits but not all of them are ever on display at the same time. Even on a short stay in Paris, this is a an art lovers paradise; many of the world’s art collections are housed here, which includes the renowned ‘Mona Lisa’. Paris has always been a magnetic destination for artists; many of whom left large collections of their paintings here like Monet and Picasso.

Paris is also the home of the equally famous Arc de Triomphe which Napoleon had constructed in the early part of the 19th century; the names of his generals engraved upon it to honor them and his troops. Many people do not know that an observatory was included in the design which affords great views of the surrounding area; it stands in the place where the city’s main avenues begin including the Champs Elysees.

Of course this article can only give a small sample places to visit; although no trip would be complete without seeing these, they are probably best viewed as part of a guided tour, some of which are actually free. Most people find their Paris short stay vacations exciting but only see a glimpse of what’s on offer; that would require a longer visit as you probably won’t have time to visit the gothic churches and castles in only a few days.

An Orlando vacation can involve various activities, but the most popular attractions are certainly the theme parks although it has a great deal more to offer. A visitor will never be left feeling bored in Orlando with a huge range of cultural places to visit, shopping malls and ‘non-theme park’ attractions. Florida in general has a long history of attracting tourists and this is the busiest city with more and more people visiting each year in a place that will satisfy even the most demanding of individuals.

If you enjoy shopping then you will love Orlando; it has plenty of malls and stores like Outdoor World which is so large it contains a 17,000 gallon aquarium and you could spend all day there. Besides the major theme parks, a vacation in Orlando can offer so many attractions to spark the imagination that it’s hard to know where to begin.

To start, there is the Central Florida Zoo which draws huge crowds all year round and has over four hundred animals there although it is was only granted this status in 1975. Privately owned, this zoo is also a botanical garden run by a charitable group whose purpose is to protect native and endangered species around the world.

Back in 1942, the Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park started exhibiting the world’s most extensive collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany. The collection is the most comprehensive anywhere with Tiffany jewelry, art glass, ornaments, pottery, paintings and leaded glass.

No adult, despite any thoughts to the opposite, could go to Orlando and find nothing of interest as the range of attractions for both the young and old is huge. Entertainment in the evening when you vacation in Orlando is as sophisticated as you wish and as diverse as that found during the day; catering for young people, families and adults.

The Orlando Science Center is another of the major attractions and its four-story center is the biggest of its kind in the Southeast; offering 10 exhibit halls that allow visitors everything from the Florida swamplands to the dry plains of Mars. If your preference is in railways then the International Trolley and Train Museum on International drive will be a pleasant surprise with 14 trains running continuously and three waterfalls in a space of about 4,000 square feet.

If you have seen the Titanic-ship of Dreams film then you will enjoy the exhibition along International Drive that tells the story using large sets and depictions from the ship as a background. Lake Eola Park on the other hand has a pleasant 43 acres to stroll around and relax or perhaps a little boating on the lake.

However, there aren’t that many visitors who visit Orlando without a trip to one of the four main Disney theme parks or the equally impressive Universal studios; where a person’s age really doesn’t matter. Orlando vacations have everything so you won’t be short of things to do; in fact you may need a week off to recover in a resort that never shuts and has good weather all year round.
