Flights
BMI or British Midland is based in England
and operates from Heathrow. BMI cheap flights serves more than

For flights to Europe, check-in counters
close 30 minutes before departure, except the counters in Palma
and Copenhagen, which close 50 minutes before plane departs.
For long distance air travels, counters close 40 minutes before

permitted to check-in the night before flying, between 7pm and
10pm at BMI check-in desk 59, located at Terminal 1. All bags
must be checked in, and all travellers must be present.

two hours prior departure. Travellers may also self check-in at
most of the airports.
The weight and number of luggage allowed
vary by airport and type of flight. For carry on luggage, the
maximum limit for budget European flights is 10kg to and from
Heathrow, and 7kg for all regional airports. The luggage limit
for mid and long distance flights is 6kg.
All flights taking off from Heathrow allow
unlimited number of bags, with a maximum total weight of 20kg.
Manchester long distance flights to the United States and the
Caribbean permit only two pieces of luggage, totalling 64kg
tops.
Excess luggage charges on short distance
flights are £5 for every kg, while for long distance air
travels, charges vary by route. It could be anything from £50
per piece to £19 per kg. Travellers are advised to check before
travelling to avoid excess luggage. Standard luggage fees apply
for musical instruments. Travellers may purchase an extra seat
to carry a large or fragile instrument rather than checking it
into the flight's luggage compartment.
The air travel date and time can be changed
for £30 per person per change, as well as any upgrade fares.
However, the tickets cannot be transferred to anyone else.
Tickets can be cancelled for a full reimbursement, minus a £25
clerical fee. Clerical fee will be waived if the traveller
cancels within a day after booking via telephone to
cancellation centre. Flight changes can also be made online or
by calling the call centre number.
Child fares for children aged two to twelve
are only 67 percent of an adult fare. Infants aged two and
younger can travel on an adult's lap for 10 percent of the
adult fare. On the other hand, senior citizens can fly with BMI
free of charge.
Pets such as dogs and cats are only allowed
on all UK flights. Pet owners will be charged for pet
transport. Pets must be carried in IATA-approved containers
that are large enough for them to move about comfortably.
European budget offers free bar service,
free hot breakfast on morning flights and snacks on all other
flights and a free reading material. Snacks and drinks can be
purchased on short distance Heathrow flights. Long distance
budget service offers in-flight entertainment, free meals,
reading materials and comfort kits. travellers are able to view
the menu for snacks available for purchase on BMI‘s website.
The in-flight magazine, Voyager is available on all flights and
online.
